November, 2008: Bonnie Dalzell organizes a quilt raffle and raises enough money for 20 scholarships. Benedicta Bondzie and her older brother, Kelvin, win first and second place respectively in the district spelling competition.

September, 2008: The board approves 10 scholarships for secondary school. The recipients include nine graduates of Esiam Heritage Academy and one from GESDI. Through the support and generosity of Bonnie Dalzell and the Limburg family, Sarah Nyame, class of 2007, attends Bishop McDevitt High School in Abington, PA.

August, 2008: Over 140 scholarship students fron 12 different schools and 18 volunteer teachers from the United States participate in our Summer Program. The graduates of Esiam Heritage Academy obtain 100% pass on the national exams

July, 2008: Esiam Heritage Academy gets a bigger bus; we continue to raise funds to pay for the loan portion of the bus.

June, 2008: Esiam Heritage Academy's bus is in an accident. The board decides to raise funds for a new bus.

May, 2008: Laura & Ben Craig organize an extremely successful fundraising dinner at their home.

April, 2008: Sue Gold, Kim Brosnan-Myers & Victoria Jones organize a very successfull fundraising cookout at Birmingham Meeting House.

March, 2008: Schoerke Foundation becomes a 501(c)(3) Tax-exempt organization.
